Professional Ballroom competitor and instructor, Murray is a Corpus Christi local who grew up dancing all variations of dance styles such as Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Modern, Tap, and Ballroom with Munro Ballet Studios and Corpus Christi Ballet. She began teaching Ballet and Jazz at the young age of 14 and started teaching Ballroom dancing full time at age 16. At 17, Murray began competing professionally in American Rhythm and is currently the youngest professional on the NDCA circuit. She has been awarded Top Female Teacher and has been one of the Top Teachers at multiple competitions around the nation. She has trained with some of the most famous and top-notch professionals in the dance world. Her goal is to expand and share her love of dancing and fitness with Corpus Christi and the surrounding areas.
Sean has danced most of his life, starting at the age of 12, with Munro Ballet Studios and The Corpus Christi Ballet. He is trained in Classical Ballet, Ballroom, and Jazz. He is also a Martial Arts instructor and he loves to sing. He began his Ballroom training in 2016 with CC Ballroom owner and founder, Angela Murray.
Hip Hop/Jazz Funk/Heels Instructor
Taylor Greer is from Garland, Texas. She graduated from South Garland High School while a 3-year member of the Southern Belles drill team holding the title of Captain her senior year. After graduating, Taylor attended Kilgore College where she became a member of the Kilgore Rangerettes. During her time as a Rangerette, Taylor was a member of the Rangerette Swingsters and a dance soloist at the annual spring show, Revels. Taylor has also served as a choreographer for Revels these past 5 years. In 2010, Taylor was selected to dance on stage during the Super Bowl halftime show featuring the Black Eye Peas. Upon completing her Associate of Arts degree at Kilgore, Taylor attended Chapman University in Orange, California where she auditioned and was accepted into the prestigious dance program. While at Chapman, Taylor was selected in both 2012 and 2013 as one of a few dancers to represent Chapman University in their Dance Tour, performing throughout the state of California. After graduating from Chapman with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Performance, Taylor moved to West Hollywood in Los Angeles to continue her training as a dancer where she has worked with and appeared in videos for talented choreographers. In 2016, Taylor moved back to Dallas, Texas to pursue her career as a dance instructor and choreographer. While teaching and choreographing for studios in the Dallas area, she auditioned and made the 2017-2018 Dallas Cowboy Rhythm & Blue Dancer (a high-energy co-ed hip-hop dance team). Taylor also had the privilege of being on staff with Joffrey Ballet in Frisco, Texas where she served as an instructor, teaching Contemporary and Hip Hop classes.
Jessica was born and raised in Lawrence, Kansas where she trained and taught at a competitive dance studio for 15 years. She trained and competed in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theater, and Tap. She spent several summers at the Kansas City Ballet School under the direction of Peter Pawlyshyn. In college, she studied at the Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Arts Management at Oklahoma City University for 3 years under the direction of Jo Rowan before finishing her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing at Baker University. At Baker, she had the opportunity to compete with the NAIA National Championship Dance Team for two seasons. Since graduating, she has taught and coached all levels and ages of Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theater, and Tap around the country. Her students and choreography have earned high point honors, technical excellence, and choreography awards. When she’s not dancing, she’s often found at the gym, singing Celine Dion around her house, or fishing on the boat with her husband and two dogs.
Ninfa Gonzalez, born and raised in Corpus Christi, Tx, is currently enrolled in the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi nursing program. She began competitive dance at the age of 10 and is professionally trained in various styles such as Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Modern, and Hip Hop. Her passion to artistically create led her to begin choreographing at a young age. Throughout her dance career, she has been awarded for her numerous high scoring contemporary dance performances and received multiple scholarships by professional companies, such as Break The Floor and NYCDA. She is an alumni of the nationally recognized Avant Dance Company. She has had the opportunity to train amongst many acclaimed choreographers, as well as take part in several music videos and performances. Her most recent music video feature is “The Chill” by Sword Collector. She also is a hair and makeup model for and has participated in multiple photoshoots and showcases. She was featured in the April 2020 Issue of The Bend Magazine as an editorial model for the little black dress (LBD) segment by Julian Gold. Ninfa specializes in teaching Contemporary, improv, and technique classes at CC ballroom by the bay.
Hip Hop, Jazz & Contemporary Instructor
Jenny Espino is the director and founder of performance and competition company Corpus Christi Dance Collective. She has been teaching and choreographing both at private studios and in the public school system in the Coastal Bend for over a decade. Her effervescent personality and leadership qualities have kept her a favorite instructor while her commanding stage presence has kept her in demand as a performer. For the past several years she has taught classes in hip hop, lyrical, jazz, jazz funk, heels, drill team (pom, kick, military, field), stretch & strengthen, and contemporary while acting as assistant director and choreographer to a nationally recognized pre-professional company. She has worked with recording artists La Conquista, El Dusty, IAM, Master Blaster Sound System, Boogat, New Kids on the Block, Jenna Klein, Angel Castillo, Meta, Sword Collector, World Inferno Friendship Society, and Paula DeAnda in both live performances and music videos. She toured the West Coast with rapper Silmeon before settling in LA for a short period to receive further training and experience. She also choreographed 2 of his music videos, including local favorite "Wiggle Jiggle" and is in regular demand as a choreographer for other area recording artists and performers. Her choreography and dancers have yearly been ranked and recognized both regionally and nationally at competitions and conventions including NYCDA, JUMP, NUVO, Showstopper, and several others (Check out Jenny Espino's 2017 and 2020 choreography reels). Always the student, she has taken master classes from Mia Michaels, Mandy Moore, Tyce Diorio, Brian Friedman, Phil Wright, Misha Gabriel, Bobby Newberry, Travis Wall, Denise Wall, Andrew Winghart, Nick Lazzarini, Tessandra Chavez, Dana Wilson, Tina Caspary, Jason Parsons, Kenny Wormald, Dana Foglia, and countless other brilliant artists. Following the pedagogical principles of Paulo Freire, she encourages her students to become "co-creators" of both knowledge and movement. When she is not teaching, she is organizing in the community and public speaking. Jenny has spoken at conferences, forums, and events all over the state of Texas and country. She has helped form numerous community organizations including Tacos Not Bombs, a food sharing organization that now feeds hundreds of people weekly and CC Mutual Aid. She is thoroughly dedicated to improving conditions locally and beyond and sees advancing the arts and fostering an appreciation of dance as central to that mission.
Gillian has been dancing for 16 years, 7 of which she competed in Contemporary, Jazz and Hip Hop. She has won many competitions in her career and been placed as a finalist at the regional and national level. She is trained in Ballet, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Modern, Tap and Acro. Outside of competitive dance she danced on Drill Team for 3 years and was Captain for 2 of those years. Outside of her dance career, Gillian is studying Biology and hopes to become a surgeon.
Barbara has over 20 years experience teaching Ballroom Dancing. She has trained with many studios. and professionals across Texas, California and Europe. Barbara has been teaching dance in the Coastal Bend for over 10 years. Specializing in Standard Ballroom, Latin, Rhythm and Smooth, she values technique and utilizes unique methods to train her students to dance with technical efficiency.
Country Dance Instructor
Jay Piccione began dancing in Junior high in Nashville, TN. It was a requirement in P.E to learn how to square dance & country dance. His dance experience is in Salsa, Cumbia, Bachata, Country-2 step, 3 step, 1 step, half step & waltz. Having danced for so long, Jay has won many country dance contests including the regional country dance contest in Nashville at the ole Wildhorse Saloon. Jay studied at Burean University, after graduating began his career in Marketing & Advertising. Jay enjoys dancing himself but also teaching dance; “I've always enjoyed helping people and seeing them learn and grow into becoming great dancers themselves.”
